Round 1 Team Selections: MUCC vs Greenvale Kangaroos

Round 1 vs Greenvale

Here we are, Round 1 of season 2018/19.

After months of hard work over pre-season and another successful winter academy, we are ready for the first round of the new season!

Round 1 against Greenvale Kangaroos sees a number of new players making their MUCC debuts. We are delighted to confirm three new debutantes in the 1st XI side, as follows:

Alex Gregory
Alex has come over from South Australia to further what looks likely to be a successful career. A member of the Cricket Victoria Futures League Academy, Alex will make his 1st XI and MUCC debut in Round 1.

John McLaughlan
Years of hard work has finally paid off for John, having made his debut for MUCC in season 2012/13, John’s career has been plagued with injuries. However, following an injury free 2017/18 and a strong pre-season, the hard work has paid off and we will see John on Uni Main on Saturday!

Fergus McKenna
Fergus joined MUCC in season 2016/17 having moved to Melbourne to pursue studies at the University of Melbourne. Fergus was a member of MUCC’s 3rd XI Premiership success against Dandenong last season and has certainly earned his spot in the 1st XI after an excellent pre-season and some strong performances in the recent practice matches.
