First year all-rounder Matthew Hield won last week's Scholars Cross, as voted by his fellow clubmates.
The up and coming youngster had a strong year across the 3rd and 4th XI teams, culminating in 402 runs and 19 wickets. His consistent performances across the season also helped the 4th grade team to reach finals this weekend.
Unfortunately, they were not able to chase down Kingston Hawthorn's total in the final, but there are many positives to take into the 2024/25 season with such a young squad.
