The MUCC Academy was launched in 2012 to provide an opportunity for young cricketers to receive specialist coaching in an elite coaching environment.

As a unique 'university' club, MUCC focuses on recruiting talented players who have aspirations to pursue higher education at university level. The club has a strong culture which promotes balanced success in study, sport and life. A member of Victorian Premier Cricket, MUCC has produced a number of successful first-class cricketers and world class leaders across a range of academic and professional fields.

MUCC has assembled a panel of specialist coaches, including current first grade players, who will be in attendance at all Academy sessions. The MUCC Academy is an excellent opportunity for young cricketers to develop their game in preparation for a career in Premier Cricket and beyond.

The MUCC Academy runs each year, making use of premium facilities including the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Melbourne University. At the conclusion of the training period a select number of players are invited to join the Melbourne University Cricket Club senior squad.
