The MUCC Academy is an excellent opportunity for young cricketers to develop their game in preparation for a career in Premier Cricket and beyond. Launched in 2012, the MUCC Academy enables young cricketers to receive specialist coaching in an elite coaching environment.

As a unique 'university' club, MUCC focuses on recruiting talented players who have aspirations to pursue higher education at tertiary level. The club has a strong culture which promotes balanced success in study, sport and life. As a member of Victorian Premier Cricket, MUCC has produced a number of successful first-class cricketers and world class leaders across a range of academic and professional fields.

The MUCC Academy runs annually, making use of premium facilities including the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the CitiPower Centre (Junction Oval), and Melbourne University. MUCC has an assembled panel of specialist coaches, including current first grade players, who attend all Academy sessions.

At the conclusion of the training program, a select number of players are invited to join the Melbourne University Cricket Club's senior squad.
